CD and IRA plans

CD’s

Certificates of Deposit are super savings accounts that pay a better interest rate than savings and money market accounts because you “lock in” the balance for a certain length of time. FCB offers a wide range of terms and rates that allow you to choose the best term to meet your lifestyle and savings goals.

Please speak to one of our friendly personal bankers for interest rates and terms.

Features:

  • Terms: 91 days, 6 months and 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 years
  • Minimum to open is $1,000.00
  • Interest compounded and credit quarterly by adding back to the balance
  • Earnings may be withdrawn without penalty once it has been credited to the balance
  • Penalty of 3-6 months interest, depending on the term, for early withdrawal calculated on the amount withdrawn
  • FDIC insured up to the maximum limits allowed by law.

“Texas Step-Up” CD

The CD that’s flexible. If interest rates rise during the term you have the power to raise your rate up to 2 times, and you can add to the balance over and over … pretty smart!

Features:

  • 18 month term
  • Minimum to open is $1,000.00
  • You are permitted to make a request to adjust your interest rate up to two times should the interest rate for this product increase at any time during the term of your CD simply by contacting us.
  • You may add to the balance as often as you would like in amounts of $1,000.00 or more.

Benefits:

  • You earn a great interest rate starting out and it’s guaranteed not to drop during the term
  • Opportunity for you to take advantage of rising interest rates should rates go up
  • Great way to “gather up” all of your CD’s and savings accounts into one great account
